Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join Accounting & Financial Services team. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality bookkeeping, taxation, and compliance work across a range of client entities, reviewing the work of junior staff, and acting as a technical point of reference within the team. The successful candidate will combine strong technical taxation knowledge with sound judgement, client-facing confidence, and the ability to mentor and uplift less experienced staff.Key Responsibilities1. Review & Quality Control- Review junior/intermediate staff work across bookkeeping, payroll, and taxation; correct errors before client delivery.2. Taxation & Compliance- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.- Apply FBT, CGT, and Division 7A rules.- Apply AAS reporting requirements.3. Payroll- Oversee payroll compliance and correct application of payroll rules.4. International & Residency Tax- Perform tax residency testing.- Apply DTA and FITO provisions.- Advise on international withholding tax and foreign entity structures.5. Client & Team Support- Resolve complex bookkeeping, payroll, and tax queries from clients and staff.- Manage deadlines across a client portfolio.- Mentor junior staff and build team capability.
