  【Job Summary】
  The Senior tool designer sought will manage the tool design process A to Z: from the beginning with the customer part through to a fully reviewed design before the prototype. the candidate will Design high-precision progressive stamping tools for the high-volume production of complex tight-tolerance products accordingly to automotive standards and deep drawing stamping tool knowledge. This includes but is not limited to generating flat blanks, developing strip layouts, blanking and forming station layouts, detailing component and assembly drawings, etc.
  
  【Main responsibilities】
  - Create and modify Material Specifications, BOM, and material overview/ process specifications as required.
  - Create and modify internal product drawings for inspection and other purposes.
  - Design welding jig, checking jix and fixtures, gauges, and other custom tooling or equipment as required.
  - Review customer drawings and specifications for manufacturing feasibility.
  - Initiate and coordinate change control process (ECN) relating to Engineering documentation.
  - Participate in Tooling Kick-off, Specification Review, and stamping Tool Design Review.
  - Provide technical assistance to Tool room regarding tooling and process issues during die fabrication and debugging.
  - Process data layouts of tool drawing detail for use in CNC machining (CNC milling, Surface grinding, Wire-cut, EDM, Turning cnc…etc).
  - Jointly responsible for the successful transfer of tooling to manufacturing along with Tool room and Project Engineering functions.
  - Responsible for adherence to tooling project schedules and budgets as established by Project Engineering and/or Stamping Design Manager.
  - Initiate and/or coordinate outsourced tooling work with qualified tooling subcontractors. Ensure accuracy, quality workmanship, and on-time delivery of outsourced tooling components.
  - Review stamping dies cost estimates for accuracy, Instruct and mentor Junior Tool Designers.
  - Other duties as assigned by Stamping Design Engineering Manager
