Thu’s Rise as Vietnam’s Fighting Spirit Award Winner

From ‘Impossible’ to ‘Inspiring’: Thu’s Rise as Vietnam’s Fighting Spirit Award Winner

When Vo Hoang Anh Thu joined Reeracoen Vietnam in June 2022, she was focused on surviving — not winning awards.

At the start of 2025, 70% of her offers got cancelled. But within the same year, she became Top 2 Vietnam and our Fighting Spirit of Vietnam winner for FY14.

Her journey is a blend of grit, laughter, and leadership.

💡 “I never imagined I’d get here. But I kept smiling and trying. That’s my style.”

💼 How She Works: Trust & Tenacity

Thu shines brightest with high-level candidates who value transparency.

“I don’t push,” she shares.

“I listen. I understand their motivations. And I always follow up.”

One of her proudest placements?

Helping a candidate land a job in Japan by rewriting a misunderstood reason for leaving a previous role.

“It was a small fix — but it changed everything.”

From Advisor to Team Leader

🎯 From Advisor to Team Leader

Promoted within 7 months, Thu quickly became a mentor and energiser for her team.

Her colleagues describe her as real, warm, and full of drive — someone who leads by asking, listening, and learning.

“I believe in learning from everyone,” she says.

“No matter your level, there’s always something to improve.”

🔥 Fighting Spirit: What It Means

The Fighting Spirit Award honours resilience, optimism, and unstoppable energy — and Thu-san is the embodiment of all three.

“I’ve had tough cases, but I never gave up. I just kept going — with humour, honesty, and heart.”

🧭 Advice to Others

Her message for new consultants?

  • Believe in yourself

  • Learn from your colleagues

  • Try, even if it feels hard

  • And if all else fails — smile and try again

🚀 What’s Next?

Thu’s FY15 goal is as bold as her spirit:

💬 “I want to hit 500% of my KPI!”

😄 Fun Fact

Thu calls herself a walking contradiction — “free-spirited but disciplined, hardworking but lazy” — and she embraces every part of it.

It’s this mix of authenticity, humour, and drive that makes her a true Reeracoen Hero.
