As a key subsidiary in Southeast Asia, it plays a vital role in the global supply chain, focusing on local manufacturing and regional sourcing to meet the growing demands of the international market.
As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing new suppliers and developing merchandise in collaboration with the Japanese R&D team. The ideal candidate must be a proactive professional with strong Japanese language skills and a keen eye for market trends, capable of working independently to meet tight deadlines.
<Job Description>
-Communicate and develop new products by working with the R&D team in Japan.
- Research new suppliers of general merchandise in Vietnam and ASEAN countries.
- Identify and evaluate new manufacturers for general household products.
- Negotiate prices, lead-times, and quality standards with vendors.
- Conduct on-site visits to manufacturers and suppliers to discuss business issues.
- Manage and monitor supplier performance and product quality.
- Coordinate with the logistics team for import/export activities if required.
- Utilize IT tools and internet research to stay updated on market trends.
- Travel domestically and overseas as required for business expansion.
- Other related tasks assigned by the Deputy General Director or Dept. Manager.

Qualifications
Requirement
<Must>
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of experience in purchasing
- Japanese: N2 intermediate (Internal communication/ Meeting between client and Japan office/ Daily phone calls with Japanese companies)
- Willing to go on a business trip (Business trip twice a month, 1 overnight business trip a month)
<Prefer>
- English: Upper-Intermediate levels
- Chinese: HSK-5 level (phone call, e-mail, meeting to client daily).
- Having knowledge of the current business situation and market trends.
- Experience working for a Japanese company.
- Ability to have good communication with related people.English Level
