  • Job Description

    One of our clients, which is providing weather forecasting service, is now looking for Government Meteorological Partnership Manager.

    【What you will be working on】
    - Build and maintain strong relationships with national meteorological agencies and relevant government organizations
    - Conduct regular communication and coordination with local counterparts
    - Identify, analyze, and organize technical and operational challenges faced by meteorological agencies
    - Support the implementation, training, and utilization of Weathernews’ meteorological dashboards and platforms
    - Provide on-site or remote support during extreme weather events (e.g., typhoons, heavy rainfall, severe weather)
    - Propose practical improvement plans and technical solutions based on identified challenges
    - Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of technical support activities and prepare quantitative assessment reports
    - Maintain regular communication and reporting with our Global Center (Japan)
    - Contribute to the development of mid- to long-term partnership frameworks, including MOUs and technical cooperation schemes
    - The other tasks assigned by the Manager in Japan HQ.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    ＜Must＞
    - Bachelor's degree.(Preffarable as weather major.)
    ‐ Knowledge of meteorology, IT, or AI-related fields, or a strong willingness and ability to learn
    - Nationality of the country where the position is based
    - Business-level proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
    - Strong logical thinking, communication skills, and high professional ethics
    - Having more than 3 years working experience with government.

    ＜Prefer＞
    ‐ Practical experience in meteorology or weather-related fields
    - Experience working with government agencies, international organizations, or research institutions
    - Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N2 or higher preferred)
    - Experience using IT tools such as data visualization platforms or meteorological data systems
    - Strong relationship-building skills with a sincere, persistent approach to earning trust
    - Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments and act as a bridge between local stakeholders and our Global Center (Japan)
