<Job summary>
To architect and execute the cinema's film programming strategy, meticulously curating a film schedule that optimizes screen occupancy, maximizes box office revenue, and delivers a superior and engaging cinematic experience for our audience. The Programming Manager is the architect of the cinema's soul, shaping the daily moviegoing journey for our patrons.
<Job Detail>
Film Curation & Schedule Optimization (70%):
- Assume ultimate responsibility for film selection, analyzing market data, audience demographics, and revenue forecasts to determine the optimal number of showtimes and screen allocation for each title.
- Develop and continuously optimize the weekly film schedule for the entire cinema circuit, ensuring a balanced and compelling mix of blockbusters, independent films, and niche content to diversify our offerings.
- Monitor and analyze the daily performance of each film, making agile and data-driven decisions to adjust the schedule (e.g., holdovers, adding/reducing showtimes) to maximize profitability.
Distributor Negotiation & Relationship Management (20%):
- Serve as the primary liaison, building and maintaining strategic, long-term relationships with local and international film distributors.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations on critical commercial terms, including revenue sharing models, theatrical windows, and marketing support packages, to secure the most favorable conditions for the company.
Market Analysis & Reporting (10%):
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and audience behavior to inform strategic programming decisions.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for the Board of Directors on schedule performance, revenue, market share, and other critical business metrics, providing actionable insights.
- Other tasks assigned by a manager.

Qualifications
Requirement
<Must>
- Bachelor's degree
- English: upper-intermediate levels or more
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a film programming or distribution role within a major cinema chain or film distribution company.
- A demonstrable track record of success in optimizing film schedules and driving significant box office growth.
<Prefer>
- Profound understanding of the film industry, with deep insights into the Vietnamese and international box office markets.
- Expert-level negotiation and commercial acumen.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategy.
- An extensive and credible professional network within the industry, especially with film distributors.
