  <Summary>
  The Applications Engineer supports the development of composite part applications from concept through production handover. This role collaborates closely with customers, account managers, tooling engineers, process engineers, and production teams to translate functional requirements into manufacturable engineering specifications. The Applications Engineer contributes to NPI execution, tooling design reviews, documentation, and prototype trials while ensuring projects meet quality, timing, and performance expectations.
  
  <Detail>
  1. Customer & Requirements Translation
  - Interface with customers to define technical needs and end-use conditions.
  - Translate requirements into engineering specifications, CAD drawings, and material recommendations.
  - Support management in technical discussions and design reviews.
  
  2. Engineering Design & Execution
  - Develop composite concepts using CAD, FEA, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles.
  - Conduct material selection, layup design, tolerance analysis, and feasibility studies.
  - Manage prototype builds, sample preparation, and validation testing.
  - Document all findings, spec sheets, and test reports.
  
  3. New Product Introduction (NPI) & Tooling
  - Drive Stage-Gate deliverables and maintain engineering schedules.
  - Lead trials, prepare BOMs, and create production work instructions.
  - Collaborate with tooling engineers to refine 3D models and layouts for optimal manufacturing.
  - Support tool qualification, including dimensional verification and feedback loops.
  
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement
  - Partner with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure engineering intent is met.
  - Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) and CAPAs to resolve technical or customer issues.
  - Maintain accurate engineering records in compliance with company standards.
  - Drive continuous improvement in product performance and cost efficiency.
  - Stay updated on industry trends in composite materials and manufacturing technologies.
