    <Job Summary>
    Merchandiser (MD) for a garment trading business. Responsibilities include managing sales and client communications in Japanese (and English where applicable), creating costing sheets and delivery schedules, and sourcing new vendors, suppliers, and manufacturing factories.

    <Detail>
    - Conduct sales activities and client communication in Japanese (and English as required).
    - Prepare costing sheets, quotations, and production/delivery schedules as Merchandiser.
    - Source and negotiate with new vendors, suppliers, and sewing factories.
    - Coordinate order progress and delivery timelines between clients and factory partners.
    - Perform other related tasks assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    <Must>
    - Bachelor's degree
    - Japanese: N2 Intermediate
    - Have experience in garment product MD or product plan management, or working directly with Japanese customers, ordering materials from Japan
    - Has work experience in the garment industry, experience in direct business
    - Dealings and negotiations with Japanese partners, has a basic understanding of import and export, Ability to manage detailed plans and collaborate with team members or other departments to manage and track order progress
    - Flexibility in resolving issues as they arise, Proficient in using basic office software (Word, Excel), Proficient in email communication and international phone calls. The company is willing to train candidates who lack experience in certain areas.
