As Country Manager of Reeracoen Vietnam, Sekine-san oversaw the branch’s transformation from underdog to award-winning team. In FY14, they were crowned Best Branch across the entire Reeracoen Group.
“What I’m most proud of isn’t the award.
 It’s that our team came together, trusted one another, and said,
 ‘We can do this.’ That mindset shift was everything.”

📈 From Candidate Advisor to Country Manager: A Journey Built on Belief

Sekine-san joined Reeracoen as a Career Advisor in 2019, rising quickly through the ranks — Recruitment Advisor, Branch Manager, then Country Manager — thanks to his steady work ethic and people-first approach.

He developed a clear leadership philosophy:

“Results are important — but trust is the foundation.
 When people feel supported and safe, they step up.
 They take responsibility. They find their voice.”

🏆 Building Vietnam’s Best Branch

Leading a multicultural team in a competitive market isn’t easy. But Sekine-san focused on bonding, coaching, and celebrating small wins.

He also made it a point to listen, not just give instructions:
“I wanted them to feel, ‘I’m not alone.’
 That someone will always listen, even if we fail today.”

By FY14, Reeracoen Vietnam had not only grown in revenue and placements — they had grown in confidence, trust, and heart.

💬 Advice for New Leaders

Sekine-san believes that leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room.

“Don’t rush to push results. First, build the environment.
 It takes time — but that’s how you grow people.”

His message to future leaders?
Listen more. Encourage risk-taking. Celebrate progress.

🎯 What’s Next for FY15–16

Heading into the next financial year, Sekine-san is focused on:

• Growing the Hanoi and HCMC branches
• Grooming new managers and leaders
• Enhancing service quality for both clients and candidates
• And above all — keeping the team grounded in trust
