Leading Behind the Scenes: Yen’s Journey at Reeracoen Vietnam
Strong organizations are not built by visible achievements alone. Behind every smooth operation, high-performing team, and successful milestone are people quietly solving problems, improving processes, and supporting others every day. For Yen, her 9-year journey at Reeracoen Vietnam reflects exactly that.
💼 From Finance Graduate to Operation Manager
Yen joined Reeracoen Hanoi on June 1st, 2017, the very first day the office opened, as an Admin cum HR Executive.
Coming from a Finance background with no prior experience in HR or recruitment, she never imagined she would stay in the industry for so long. Through continuous effort and dedication, she gradually grew into leadership roles and became Vietnam Operation Manager after just three years - a position she proudly holds today.
For Yen, growth was never about chasing titles. It was about continuously finding ways to improve systems, solve problems, and make work easier for everyone around her.

🏆 Building the Foundation Behind Success
Looking back on her journey, one of Yen’s proudest milestones was seeing Reeracoen Vietnam receive the “Best Branch” award at Group level in 2025.
For her, this recognition represented years of teamwork, operational improvements, and shared effort across the organization.
Alongside this achievement, Yen has also received several personal recognitions, including:
-
“I am here for you – Reeracoen Way Award 2019”
-
MVP of Reeracoen Vietnam FY2021
-
Best Supporter of Reeracoen Group (FY2020, FY2021, FY2024)
To Yen, these awards are not simply titles — they are proof that the behind-the-scenes work of operations truly contributes to the company’s long-term success.
🤝 Building Strong Teams Through Transparency
As an Operation Manager, Yen believes strong teams are built on two simple foundations: Transparency and Mutual Support.
She values clear communication, fair opportunities, and openness across the organization. At the same time, she believes teams perform best when people actively support one another through challenges while respecting individual differences.
Her philosophy is simple: Put the right people in the right roles, treat them fairly, and the team will naturally grow stronger together.

🌟 Navigating Challenges During COVID-19
One of the most challenging periods in Yen’s career was from 2020 to 2022, during the COVID-19 pandemic and a major internal restructuring.
Almost overnight, the company had to transition to work-from-home while redesigning workflows to ensure smooth collaboration between Hanoi and HCMC teams.
Despite the uncertainty, Yen and the operations team focused on agility and solutions instead of panic. The systems and workflows built during that difficult period later became the foundation for Reeracoen Vietnam’s current hybrid working model.
📈 Supporting Teams Across the Organization
Working in operations means handling requests from multiple departments every day, each with different priorities and challenges.
For Yen, this broad perspective is actually one of operations’ greatest strengths. By understanding each team’s pain points, operations can identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and support smoother collaboration across the company.
Her approach is practical: Listen carefully, identify the root cause, prioritize correctly, and solve issues step by step.
🎯 Advice for Younger Employees
For newer employees building their careers at Reeracoen, Yen’s advice is simple:
Maintain strong work ethic and think like a marathon runner.
She believes success does not come from shortcuts, but from consistency, discipline, and continuous improvement through daily “Kaizen.”
Through that process, she hopes people can gradually discover their own “Ikigai” — finding meaning and fulfillment in both work and life.
🌿 Life Beyond Work
Outside of work, Yen describes herself as someone constantly curious about new experiences.
Her hobbies change over time, from swimming and running in the past to pickleball and tennis today — with scuba diving next on her list.
She jokes that her only permanent hobby is simply trying new things.

Yen’s journey reflects the power of consistency, adaptability, and quiet leadership — proving that meaningful impact often happens behind the scenes.
